The VIRUS Vampire is 100% hand made and features sandwich a carbon-Titanal-construction with Kevlar and Zylon reinforcements, the latter having been introduced only recently by VIRUS. The machined Titanal frame with visible exotic wood and carbon inlays not only provides noble looks, but, above all, excellent riding characteristics. The wood inlays in the nose and tail areas generate zones of softer flex which allow for considerably easier changing of edges in comparison to conventional carving models.

The tough metal frame, on the other hand, creates torsional stiffness and high reset forces bringing the board quickly back to its basic form. This, in combination with the Zylon reinforcements, gives the Vampire extreme smoothness and excellent edgehold and it makes it strong and fast, so it can be accelerated enourmously powerful out of turns.

With its fine tuned nose this board never tends to catch an edge or dig in, even in soft snow and powder, making it suitable for all conditions. The specially constructed and novel nose geometry automatically guarantees that the edged will regain their grip immediately after riding over bumps. Thus, this board generates a high feeling of security in any slope conditions.
